Beef up your Office 365, SQL, Azure skills with Microsoft and The Reg
Come to Reading, absorb the latest gospel, leave happy
Promo Microsoft UK is inviting you to attend Accelerate Your Insights, a free all-day event at Thames Valley Park, Reading on May 1. Attendees will learn more about Microsoft Office 365, SQL Server 2014 and Azure.
The event is streamed so you can dip in and out of the sessions remotely.
The Register is a media partner of Microsoft and this is the second of four promos we are running for Accelerate your Insights.
In this instalment we zero in on a customer case study session, starting at 11.15, where Jabil, the leading supply chain management firm, discusses its experience with self-service BI in manufacturing.
Self-Service BI is a huge theme for Microsoft this year but many of the elements are new – and, accordingly, not well understood. So here's your chance to learn more.
Jabil recently replaced its “time-consuming” and “stale” customised BI technology with a solution built on Microsoft SQL Server 2014 and SQL Server 2014 Power View. Using this platform, Jabil users can create their own reports in minutes from business critical data sources using Microsoft Excel, with IT providing training and guidance - freeing up time to work on strategic projects”.
According to Jabil, “amazement” is the reaction of users to the new solution. You can probably tell that we've had a sneak preview of some of the session material.
