Apple hires ex-SENATE staffer for added WASHINGTON POWER

Apple has hired a veteran Washington lobbyist in an apparent attempt to boost its influence in the seat of American power.
Amber Cottle will now be the fruity firm's top lobbyist after leaving her post as democratic staff director for the Senate Finance Committee.
Apple has spent a lot of time in Washington recently, with Tim Cook meeting up with President Obama to discuss NSA surveillance. Top Cupertinians were also hauled in front of a Senate committee to discuss Apple's tax strategy.
The new hire replaces Catherine Ann Novelli, who was in post since 2007 and has left for a job at the State Department.
Meanwhile in Apple land, footage has emerged of the construction work currently taking place at the site of it's new Campus II headquarters, which we've dubbed The Fruit Loop.
A YouTube user using the mysterious name Apple Internal posted the following video, which shows some less than beautiful diggers demolishing some ugly buildings to make way for the new shiny headquarters.
