Tim Cook and Benjamin Netanyahu have met up in Cupertino during the Israeli PM's visit to Silicon Valley.

The pair are thought to have discussed Apple's R&D in Israel, where it operates at least three facilities.

Cupertino recently snapped up the Israeli firm PrimeSense, which helped to develop Microsoft's Kinect.

The pair took a moment to commune with the ghost of Steve Jobs, standing beneath an icon of the fallen fruity führer and a sign emblazoned with one of the great man's sayings.

"If you do something and it turns out pretty good, then you should go do something else wonderful, not dwell on it for too long," the quote reads. "Just figure out what's next."

Netanyahu then quipped: "You can't ask that of government."

"No," Cook replied. "I wish we could." ®
