Apple boss Tim Cook will meet Turkish President Abdullah Gül tomorrow to discuss a mega deal which will equip 15 million kids with their very own state-sponsored fondleslab.

The fruity führer will sit down with President Abdullah Gül, who is planning to spend $4.5bn on buying schoolchildren their own tablet computers.

Cook's visit also comes ahead of the opening of Turkey's first real world Apple store, which is expected to open soon in a shopping mall called the Zorlu Centre.

Even if Turkey decides its children are better off fondling a Surface (which is unlikely), the populous nation still represents a huge and growing market for Apple.

According to the International Telecommunication Union, Turkey's online population is the fifth largest in Europe, behind Russia, Germany, Blighty and France.

One in four of Turkey's 80 million-strong population is under the aged of 14, making them ripe for inculcation into the world of fanbois.

Cook has been on a worldwide charm offensive recently, touching down in the United Arab Emirates and Ireland in the past week alone. ®
