The Pirate Bay changes domain again … TWICE!

Evicted from .PE and .GY now back in .SE

The Pirate Bay's ongoing attempts to find safe harbour continue, with the torrent-tracker site hopping to another domain twice in a week.

Last week, the site tied up in the .PE domain administered by Peru. Locals seem not to have offered it a warm welcome as it soon set sail for a .GY address in Guyana.

But the Caribbean nation seems not to have been keen on the idea of having pirates tied up in its virtual port and quickly cut the site's mooring ropes. Briefly adrift, the site resurfaced in Sweden's .SE domain.

Changes are now happening so often that even the site's blog isn't keeping up with the changes.

Torrentfreak, which often has more information about the site than the site itself, suggests Guyana's internet registry quickly decided The Pirate Bay infringes all manner of rules and pulled its local domain. The tracker reportedly has more than 50 domains up its sleeve that will allow it to continue its game of legal whack-a-mole*. ®
