Smut-for-Glass app suffers premature ejection

Twelve people frustrated by Google pulling app out early

NSFW Google has barred the infamous Tits&Glass application from the app store for its “Glass” tech specs.

The app's developer, MiKandi, says Google changed the terms and conditions for Glass developers, banning all adult content.

Here's what the site has to say about the situation:

“When we received our Glass and started developing our app 2 weeks ago, we went through the policy very carefully to make sure we were developing the app within the terms. We double checked again last week when making the site live on the Internet and available for install for testing during last week’s announcement. We were not notified of any changes and still haven’t been notified by Google. We also double checked our emails to see if any notifications of policy changes were announced, but we haven’t found any such emails.”

The ejection of the app won't frustrate many: MiKandi's blog says “a dozen Glass users have already signed up with our app”. The post also says 10,000 unique visitors surfed to the very NSFW site for the app . We've visited it for research purposes and can definitively say they didn't go for the articles.

MiKandi says the app “allows Google Glass Users to share sexy content from their Glasses directly with other Glass users and online through the titsandglass.com web app”. Sharing means “Those without Glass can still get in on the action by logging in with your Google+ account [to] Interact with Glass users by up-voting and commenting on photos.”

The latter sentence may be where MiKandi's doing it wrong: a bit of private smut is all very well, but piping it through into the wider world of Google+ doubtless has The Chocolate Factory worried enough to pull it out before things get sticky. ®
