Top Googler Eric Schmidt is getting a tasty $6m bonus for his performance at the Chocolate Factory this year, part of a package of $15m getting spread around among the C-suite Oompa Loompas.

Neither of the firm's co-founders, chief exec Larry Page and Sergey Brin, are getting a 2012 bonus: but Google's top lawyer, the head numbers guy and the chief business officer are all getting a slice of the multimillion-dollar cake.

Chief legal eagle David Drummond is in line for the next biggest payout of $3.3m, while chief financial officer Nikesh Arora and chief financial officer Patrick Pichette are getting $2.8m each, Google said in a regulatory filing.

Founders Page and Brin have taken a dollar each in salary since the Chocolate Factory went public in 2004, relying on their massive gigabuck shareholdings to see them through.

While million-dollar bonuses might sound extravagant to lowly Reg hacks and many of our readers, it's mere pocket change to Google. The advertising mammoth raked in $2.89bn in net profit for the final three months of last year alone. ®
