An Oklahoma woman busted on drugs and firearms charges earlier this week was found to have concealed a loaded .22 revolver in her vagina, the Smoking Gun reports.

Christie Dawn Harris, 28, was cuffed in the early hours of Monday morning in Ada, some 120km souteast of Oklahoma City. Cops spotted her and Jennifer Delancy reclining in the front seats of a Toyota Yaris, parked outside a closed restaurant with its motor running.

According to the police report, when quizzed as to whether there were weapons or drugs in the vehicle, Harris replied "she did not think there was anything", although a sniffer dog indicated otherwise.

Officers discovered zip-lock "baggies" in the car, one containing "a white crystal substance", a hypodermic needle, a .25 semi-automatic pistol and a loaded magazine plus a backpack containing two black ski masks.

On her way to jail, Harris repeatedly insisted she "needed to go to the bathroom", although arresting officer Kathy Unbewust told her she'd have to wait until she got to the lock-up. Once there, and while changing into prison clothing, Harris refused to remove her panties because "she was on her period".

Unbewust insisted, and "observed at that time a wooden and metal item sticking out from her vagina area". Once extracted, this turned out to be a Freedom Arms .22 revolver, packing three live rounds and one spent shell.

The piece wasn't the only illicit cargo Harris was packing, because as Unbewust's report explains: "I then retrieved from between Christie's buttock, two clear baggies containing a large amount of a crystal substance."

Both Harris and Delancy face multiple charges relating to drugs and firearms, including "possession of a firearm during commission of a felony" and "trafficking illegal drugs".

Harris's rap sheet also includes "bringing contraband into a jail facility". ®
