Another not very long period of time, another GiffGaff collapse

O2's cut-price operation GiffGaff is down again, with customers unable to make outgoing calls for the last half hour - and no sign of a fix in sight.

GiffGaff outages are becoming all too common, to the point where a failure in data yesterday wasn't worth reporting, but when users are disconnected entirely it seems worthy of mention.

O2, upon whose network GiffGaff rests, seems to be fine, so the problem is restricted to the network.

GiffGaff prides itself on leaving its customers to manage its technical support and marketing, and some of them may be feeling rather embarrassed at their success in the latter these days - having recommended GiffGaff to friends and family whom they can no longer contact.

Here's therapidly filling forum discussing the problem, with GiffGaff promising updates when they're available. We'll pass them on when that happens. ®
