Argos flyer confirms incoming 32GB Nexus 7

Yours for 200 quid

Argos is so confident there’s a 32GB Nexus 7 tablet on the way it has put the machine into a Christmas brochure.

Spotted by a recipient, photographed and emailed to Teck [sic] Comes First, the Argos rag shows the same old Asus-shot pictures of the Nexus 7 we’ve all seen before but with 32GB capacity clearly there in black and white.

Ditto the £200 price tag, which is what the 16GB Nexus 7 is currently being offered for.

There's nothing on the Argos flyer either way, but widely held assumption is that the 32GB Nexus 7 will lack the £15 Google Play voucher the original shipped with.

Since Google has already warned punters that those vouchers have expired, that's no great surprise.

The notion that it's dropping vouchers to pay for the extra 16GB of Flash seems unlikely - rather Asus and Google are trying to stay competitive with the Kindle Fire HD, which will also cost £199 for 32GB when it ships next week.

Note that that's with ads: without, the Fire HD costs £209, but we suspect most buyers will simply see the headline £199 and order away. Hence Asus' desire to match that lower price. ®
