All three of Australia's mobile carriers will offer the iPhone 5 to punters, but none have said a word about what they will charge antipodean fanbois for the privilege.

Various PR missives have now hit El Reg's antipodean inbox, starting with Optus' 7:09 AM effort. All followed the Apple script by using approved adjectives to describe the new hysteria-inducing-handset, along with a September 21st availability date.

The only variation in the releases is Vodafone's promise the 5 will work on its LTE network once it goes into operation. Telstra's 4G net is already ready to rumble and Optus' is humming along without any phones until September 20th.

Apple Australia says it will sell the handset, outright and unlocked, for AUD$799. The fruity company will take orders as of September 14th and deliver, and allow fanbois to buy in-store, on September 21st.
