Heading for nimbler vendor?

Peter O'Connor, NetApp's Area Vice President for Australia, New Zealand and South East, has resigned from the company.
The Reg understands O'Connor is bound for Nimble Storage, which recently opened an Australian office.
NetApp's Australian office is one of the company's global success stories, as engagements at giant clients Telstra and Suncorp were used to create much of the company's cloud storage IP. A third Australian client, CenITex, led to the creation of a NetApp virtualisation centre of excellence in Melbourne.
The reasons for O'Connor's departure are not known at the time of writing, but as he's been at the company for six years it may simply be a case of itchy feet.

NetApp has confirmed O'Connor's departure and, in a statement sent to The Register praised his "tremendous contributions during his tenure with the company."
Michael DeLandre, described in the statement as the "long-time NetApp Senior Director of the Technical organization in ANZ" has taken over day-to-day operations until Mr O'Connor's successor is named. ®
