Hulu, Apple TV deal sparks fanboi Glee glee

If you're into that sort of thing

Apple TV won't get a wall-sized Siri-controlled LCD screen that punters predicted a few months ago, but the little black box will get some telly from Hulu.

Video warehouse Hulu has the rights to stream over the internet television series past and present, including Family Guy, Glee and Saturday Night Live, as well as music videos and certain films.

However, only the Yanks and the Japanese fanbois will be able to sing along to improbable scenes of crooning adults pretending to be children: the deal for Apple TV Hulu subscriptions is restricted to their two countries.

Hulu is available as an app for iPhones and iPads, Xboxes, PS3 and Wii consoles, and also various internet-enabled TVs, so for existing Hulu subscribers this just adds another device to their roster.

The new Apple TV app will finally bring another raft of content to fanbois, no doubt relieved that the telly industry has remembered that they even exist. ®
