ISC cluster kids KIT plan to drive off with vendor swag

... and perhaps a trophy too

ISC 2012 The home team at the 2012 ISC Student Cluster Challenge, Team KIT (profile here), are a confident bunch. Not quite cocky, but confident. They made it through their first cluster competition with almost-flying colours – they had significant problems on only one of the surprise applications (WRF) on the first day of competition.

Despite this, they soldiered on and completed everything else without breaking stride. In between running code, they also managed a steady stream of visitors who stopped by their booth for a cheery “Guten Tag!” and some cluster convo. They were also very active on the show floor, stopping by lots of booths to lobby for the “Fan Favourite” award – a good move.

In the video, we talk about how they think they did in the competition, the use of umlauts in the German language (as it turns out, more isn’t better), and the time-honoured tradition of acquiring as much vendor swag as you can carry. ®
