Microsoft adds iPhones to SkyDrive party guest list
Come on in, we're all friends in the cloud
Microsoft's cloud has partially descended on the iPhone with SkyDrive now available for Apple's super-soaraway mobile.
Microsoft has unveiled a version of its SkyDrive online document storage and sharing service tailored for iOS, along with SkyDrive for Windows Phone.
iPhone customers can now access all of their files in SkyDrive, create folders, delete files, and share links to folders and files directly using the Mail app, Microsoft said.
Mike Torres, Microsoft group program manager for SkyDrive devices and roaming, said here: "We believe you should have access to your personal content no matter which device you use."
Apple, of course, offers the SkyDrive-like iCloud.
Microsoft's embrace of Apple's Jesus mobe came the day after it updated OneNote for the iPad, with OneNote 1.3 for iOS. Microsoft released OneNote for the iPhone a year ago. Meanwhile, a client version of Microsoft's Lync unified messaging server is now available for Windows Phone and planned for the iPhone and iPad, in addition to Android and Symbian. ®
