Sony is seeking US and UK "content developers" who'd like to code for its PlayStation Suite - the framework that allows Android-based devices to run PlayStation-branded games.

Sony Computer Entertainment today said is open to applications from companies keen to participate in a closed beta test of the Suite, due to go live toward the end of this month.

The company said its Developer Program for PS Suite provides coders with an early version its PS Suite development tools and software libraries. The development kit runs on Windows XP and 7, code being tested on a PC-based emulator.

In return, it wants feedback from developers to ensure that when the Suite gets its public release, it's going to encourage PS Suite development not hinder it.

PS Suite games will eventually be sold through the PlayStation Network's Store for download to the likes of the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play, and Sony's Tablet S, Tablet P and PSP Vita.
