Ryanair has hinted that it may be planning to offer flyers adult entertainment in flight.

The no-frills airline's chief executive, Michael O'Leary, said he'd like to launch in-flight web content, similar to that of hotel room telly offerings, The Sun reports.

O'Leary said: "I'm not talking about having it on screens on the back of seats for everyone to see. It would be on handheld devices.

"Hotels around the world have it, so why wouldn't we?"

The notion is that folk with iPads and smartphones on-board will be able to access web-hosted, pay-to-view content served over a local wireless network.

Short haul flights might not be long enough to get you through a movie, but when a skinflick only needs run for 3.4 minutes before the average gentleman viewer has been sated, there's more than enough time for a view or two.

Still, pr0n on a plane seems insane. Aren't the toilets busy enough? ®
