Sony's hacking headaches continued today with claims that a new PlayStation jailbreak USB dongle is about to flood the market.

According to Eurogamer's Digital Foundry blog, the threat of piracy is set to plague Sony again, as there is now a dongle available in Indonesia that allows users to bypass the console's security protocols and run copied games.

Chances are, as with previous instances, those using the device will be barred from accessing the PlayStation network.

The USB key, dubbed JB2, or JailBreak2, is a successor to the original PSJailbreak and is thought to be heading these ways soon. It apparently lets games released before the PS3's 3.60 firmware patch to be played directly from the hard drive, with newer titles limited to running from a Blu-ray disc.

Fantastic news for the Asian gentleman who wanders around Soho with his bag of illegal goodies then. Not such good news for Sony, though. ®
