Overland, the always-struggling-to-not-go-bust-and-not-get-delisted-from-Nasdaq storage company, is going to ring the Nasdaq opening bell on Friday, October 14. Wherefore this return to Nasdaq grace?

Overland will host an investor and analyst briefing at Nasdaq's market site the day before, with prezzies from Overland's execs and an ESG analyst. Make a splash, why don't you... But what is all this fanfare for?

Overland's release says this: "Key topics to be discussed are storage industry trends, Overland's corporate strategy and technology direction and a detailed discussion of product offerings and strategic vision for 2012."

This blind horse doesn't need much of a nod. Overland's got something big coming up on the 13th. ®
