Samsung and Google have yet to announce the next of their Nexus handsets - the debut is expected to take place next week - but the smartphone's spec has already leaked out.

Samsung cranked expectations up a notch when it released the following teaser video yesterday which claims "Something BIG is coming" above an image of an unknown handset with a curved display:

Today, BGR confirmed the pictured phone as the Nexus Prime and posted full specifications of the handset, based on "new information from a trusted source".

Apparently, the 9mm-thick Samsung Galaxy Nexus - codenamed Nexus Prime - will pack a 1.2GHz dual-core processor running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It'll sport a 4.7in OLED curved-glass display with a resolution of 1280 x 720, and include 32GB of storage with 1GB of Ram.

There's also a 5Mp rear-facing camera that handles 1080p video capture, as well as a 1.3Mp front-facing lens.

While there are no details on pricing or availability, more will undoubtedly come to light at Samsung's event next week. ®
