A slender Samsung smartphone has been unveiled by Three in Sweden. The network operator touts it as the Galaxy S II's little brother.

The Samsung Galaxy Z runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread with an Nvidia dual-core 1GHz Tegra 2 chip. It packs a 4.2in display with a 480 x 800 resolution, a 5Mp camera capable of shooting 720p video, and 8GB of built-in storage, expandable using Micro SD cards.

There's been little noise directly from the South Korean company, so the reveal could well be a case of Three jumping the gun. Whatever, Three's Galaxy Z page remains and Swedish pre-orders are underway, with the device selling for roughly 4000kr (£396).

There's no official word on if the handset is Blighty bound yet, though. ®
