The last standing full-time Twitter founder, Biz Stone, is leaving the house of Tweets to return to the incubator hub that originally spawned the micro-blogging empire.

Stone will re-team with Twitter co-founder Evan Williams and former Twitter VP Jason Goldman in their original venture, the Obvious Corporation.

Stone has not detailed what the new project will entail nut said in a blog post, “our plan is to develop new projects and work on solving big problems aligned along a simple mission statement: The Obvious Corporation develops systems that help people work together to improve the world. This is a dream come true!”

Stone added that he would continue to work with Twitter for many years to come, but for now would leave day to day work to the team in place. “I've decided that the most effective use of my time is to get out of the way until I'm called upon to be of some specific use,” he said

He added that Twitter CEO Dick Costolo had been very supportive in thinking his next moves through with him. “My plan is to take a bit more time to focus on helping schools, nonprofits, and company advisory boards as well as The Biz and Livia Stone Foundation. I'll still commit part of my time to hands on help with Twitter wherever and whenever I can be of assistance,” he added.

The other Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey recently rejoined the company as executive chairman, but has also been distracted by his duties as CEO of Square, a mobile payments company. ®
