Olympus has debuted a few flashy cameras, one that's crushproof, and a couple with dual image processors which take shots while simultaneously capturing HD footage.

The Olympus SZ-30MR is a 16Mp camera with 24x optical lens. It features two image processors so it's able to take stills while recording at a resolution of 1920 x 1080. It's not so distant relative, the SZ-20 is similar, but includes a lower 12.5x optical zoom.

Both models, which come in silver and black finishes, offer a 3in LCD display and 3D image capture modes, as well as image stabilisation of both snaps and videos.

The Olympus SZ-30MR is available in March for £300. Details for the SZ-20 are yet to be announced.

If you fancy a more rugged snapper, then feast your eyes on this. The Olympus Tough TG-810 is a 14Mp camera that can withstand the elements. It's waterproof to 10m, can be dropped from 2m, survive the cold down to -10°C and, of course, survive a severe crush of up to 10kg in force.

The Olympus Tough TG-810 will sell for £270 and is ready to literally fall off shelves at the end of March. ®
