Google pushed version seven of its Chrome browser into the company’s stable channel of releases yesterday, which means features tested in beta and developer builds are now available to the masses.

A number of nasty security bugs have been fixed in Chrome 7.0.517.41 for Windows, Mac and Linux machines, including a horrible glitch that caused the browser to crash when the autofill form was used.

Additionally a trio of features has now been added to the stable version of Chrome 7.

It comes with an updated HTML5 parser, file API and a directory upload via input tag tool.

A user with the handle snozwoz asked Google “where is print preview and set up? I love the browser but miss this feature which keeps getting pushed back.”

Indeed Google has said that print preview is in its top ten most requested features for Chrome.

Despite that fact, the basic feature remains missing in action two years after Google birthed its browser. ®
