Florida police tased a 18-year-old this week after spotting him going for a jog wearing nothing but a pair of swimming goggles.

West Melbourne Police officer Ken Sells spotted Zak Anthony King out for what appeared to be an early Monday morning constitutional. However, Sells quickly realised King was stark naked, save for a pair of swimming goggles.

Sells pursued King, first by car, then on foot, warning him that if he did not stop, he would be tased. King, described as mainly incoherent, apparently asked "Why would you tase me?", while maintaining a brisk pace.

While King was apparently apologetic that he was inconveniencing his local police force, and pointed out that he possessed "superpowers", Sells eventually flicked the switch, hitting King in the head and back and causing him to hit the pavement.

King reportedly suffered "multiple abrasions" and was taken to hospital. Once he'd been wiped down he was charged with indecent exposure and resisting arrest without violence.

Police footage of King's streak and subsequent fall to earth are here:
