Online TV-on-demand service SeeSaw has activated lots more BBC series.

SeeSaw mixes catch-up content - much of it free to view - with a selection of older shows available to watch on a one-off episode basis or to be rented as a series. Again, some shows are free. Others cost from £1.19 an episode to watch, or £5 for a series.

Content comes from the BBC, Channel 4 and Five.

The new BBC material includes popular shows across all the genres, among them Fawlty Towers, I’m Alan Partridge, Cranford, Spooks, Torchwood, Planet Earth and Top Gear.

All these programmes are "premium content" - you have to pay to watch them, in other words.

SeeSaw said it today it has also struck up content partnerships with MTV and Comedy Central, and pledged that deals with other studios will be announced in the coming weeks, allowing it to offer "over 5000 hours of programming".

Currently, it has more than 3000 hours of free-to-watch material. ®
