Toshiba revamped its consumer-oriented Satellite-branded laptop line last month, and now it has introduced almost identical models bearing the Satellite Pro moniker.

The company today announced the C650, L650 and L670, and they're essentially the consumer models upgraded with Windows 7 Pro.

The L650 and L670 have, respectively, 15.6in and 17.3in 1366 x 768 displays driven by AMD's ATI Mobility Radeon 5650 1GB graphics chips. The CPUs are Intel: there's a choice of 2.13GHz Core i3-330M or 2.26GHz Core i5-430M.

A DVD writer, 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1, Gigabit Ethernet, up to 500GB of hard drive space and up to 4GB of 1066MHz DDR 3 memory complete the machines' specs.

The C650 is a budget option so it comes with a range of low-cost AMD processors, though there are Intel CPUs on offer too. It uses integrated graphics, and the hard drive capacities available max out at 320GB. Other specs match those of the L650, including a 15.6in, 1366 x 768 display.

The new Satellite Pro range will be available across the UK by June, Toshiba said, though it didn't indicate pricing. ®
