UK carriers cut and paste iPad statement
Identical messages of support
O2, Vodafone and Orange have made almost identical statements to the effect that they will offer the iPad at the end of May.
"Vodafone today announced that it will offer dedicated iPad price plans for all models from the end of May in Australia, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK. The iPad lets users browse the web, read and send email, enjoy and share photos, watch HD videos, listen to music, play games, read ebooks and much more, all using iPad’s revolutionary Multi-Touch user interface."
Bar the name of the operator and the countries mentioned, the Orange and O2 statements are exactly the same as Vodafone's. So written by Apple, then, and cut and pasted by the carriers.
Since carriers are involved, it's safe to assume they're talking about "all models" including the 3G-enabled iPad, suggesting it will debut here alongside the Wi-Fi only model.
Apple today delayed the release of the iPad here by one month to the end of May in order to ensure it has enough units for the late April US introduction of the 3G model. ®
