Shuttle gets a handle on all-in-one touchscreen PCs

Shuttle has revamped its Atom-based all-in-one touchscreen PC design, equipping the DIY computer with a skinny, 36mm-thick case and a handle to carry it around.
The X50V2 currently ships in a "barebone" configuration, which means it lacks storage, memory and an operating system.

That said, it still comes with a motherboard, dual-core Intel Atom D510 processor, Wi-Fi, multi-format memory card reader, Ethernet and USB ports, and the single-touch, resistive touchscreen: a 15.6in, 1366 x 768 job.
The screen's graphics are generated by the Intel GMA 3150 core built into the CPU.
The handle pivots round to form the X50V2's stand. It can also be wall-mounted using a standard Vesa kit.
The unit will take up to 4GB of 667MHz or 800MHz DDR 2 memory, and a single 2.5in Sata hard drive or SSD. Being as thin as it is, there's no optical drive.
Available now in black or white, the X50V2 costs €353 (£320). Shuttle said it would offer complete systems in due course. ®
