Humax ships Freeview HD box

HD-Fox T2 on sale now

Set-top box maker Humax has begin shipping its HD-Fox T2 Freeview HD receiver to shops.

Priced at £179, the box incorporates the DVB-T2 tuner necessary to pick up Freeview HD broadcasts and the MPEG 4 decoder needed to convert data stream into pictures.

Programming is fed to your telly through HDMI - it'll upscale Freeview HD's 720p output to 1080p - though the box also has Scart output if you're still using an old TV - and a second Scart for hooking your VCR. And it has a USB port from which it'll send video, phones and music to the small screen, Humax said

The HD-Fox T2 can also pick up and display standard definition Freeview programmes. ®
