It's the telly Mad Men and Avengers fans will surely be craving: a 14in telly kitted out in true 1960s style.

Yes, it's LG's Serie 1 14in TV, complete with telescopic set-top aerials, legs, and knobs for turning it on and changing channels. It has a 4:3 aspect ratio. You can set it to present programmes in colour, black and white, and even sepia.

Described by the manufacturer as "fun to use", the retro telly nonetheless isn't entirely anachronistic. It has a remote control and a an SD memory card slot. It has a digital tuner. It doesn't take ten minutes to warm up before it can show a picture.

And while it may not be a flat-panel display, its screen is actually flat, LG said.

HMDI? Scart? Nah...

The TV has just gone on sale in LG's native South Korea for around KRW250,000 (£140). We've received no telegraph from LG concerning the set's arrival over here. ®
