Fujitsu workers will go to Parliament tomorrow - the next day of industrial action at the firm.

The strike started with one day of action last Friday, with 454 Unite members walking out.

Workers want Fujitsu to do more to avoid further redundancies - 100 more job losses are expected at the company. They also seek an end to the pay freeze at the firm, and want the final salary pension scheme reopened; the union reckons its absence effectively cuts staff salaries by 20 per cent.

Further action is planned for Friday 29 January, Monday 1 February, Friday 5 February and Monday 8 February.

Manchester MP Tony Lloyd has filed an Early Day Motion in support of the Fujitsu strikers. ®
