Ion's Twin Video has dual lenses, ideal for video blogging

Called Twin Video, this somewhat odd take on the handheld camcorder captures your facial expressions as you record events around you.

Pointless? Not so, says Ion. The idea is that Twin Video records you laughing and saying “dude” as you film your friend inside a supermarket trolley crash into a bush.

The camcorder could be also be useful for video blogging.

Twin Video’s dual lenses can be independently controlled and, in addition to standard picture-in-picture capture, users can split the screen to view both live video feeds.

Movies are recorded onto SD memory cards and a detachable stand is included for propping the video camera on table tops. Twin Video connects into PCs and Mac over USB.

Ion releases Twin Video during the second quarter of this year, and hasn’t announced a price. ®
