Battery life boost

CES 2010 Toshiba has equipped its NB200 netbook - our favourite netbook of 2009 - with Intel's latest Atom chippery, and upped the machine's model number in the process.
It's not clear whether anything separates the NB300 from the NB305 beyond colour. The 300 is black, the 305 will be available in a choice of white or brown shades, as per the previous version.

Fortunately, Toshiba has also retained the NB00's design, complete with its well integrated six-cell battery - good, the company claimed, for up to 11 hours' runtime now.
All of them use the 1.66GHz Atom N450 processor, up to 250GB of hard drive storage, a 10.1in 1024 x 600 display, 802.11n, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR on certain models and three USB ports, one of which can power peripherals when the netbook is asleep.
All the usual netbook features included
Toshiba will offer a choice of Windows 7 Starter Edition or XP Home, and the new models will all go on sale in the UK at the end of January. Toshiba didn't provide prices. ®
