Updated iMacs inbound, claim moles
Thinner bodies, better audio and Blu-ray?
Apple is poised to announce a series of technical and aesthetical improvements to its iMac range, moles familiar with the company’s PC plans have claimed.
Although specific details are still unknown, the moles told website AppleInsider that the new family of iMacs will sport classier enclosures clad in a thinner ‘industrial’ design.
Updated models will also take design cues from Apple’s new range of LED-lit Cinema Displays, the moles reportedly added.
In terms of technical enhancements, the updated iMacs may also introduce “several features previously unavailable to Mac buyers” – the report added, such as Blu-ray technology.
The moles don’t appear up to speed with any potential processing improvements to the iMac range, but reportedly hinted that audio-related enhancements will feature among the range’s changes.
Apple’s new iMac models have already been rolling off of production lines in Taiwan for roughly two weeks, the moles added, while an official announcement could come by mid-October. ®
