Microsoft will end support for a test version of its Live Framework next month.

The software vendor said it would shutter the developer side of its Live Mesh service in September. It plans to integrate many of the concepts incubated there into the upcoming version of Windows Live.

“If you are a Live Framework technology preview user, we ask you to please download any data and/or code from the service prior to September 8th as well as remove your devices from the service," said Live platform services veep David Treadwell on Friday.

Redmond handed a community technology preview of Live Framework to coders last November at the firm’s Professional Developer Conference.

Interestingly, the commercial face of the service - Live Mesh - that the company merged with the Windows Live wing of its operations at the start of 2009 will not be affected by the move.
