Panasonic preps retro Micro Four-Thirds camera
Olympus E-P1 rival?
Panasonic's GF1 uses Micro Four-Thirds technology and has 12.1Mp
While Panasonic’s first two MFT efforts – the G1 and GH1 – looked just like existing Digital SLRs, albeit with smaller bodies, the firm’s latest effort, the GF1, is a more slimline affair.
The image - rumoured by various online sources to have originated on an internal Panasonic document - reveals that the GF1 supports interchangeable lenses and features a hot shoe. It also appears to include an integrated pop-up flash.
The GF1 also packs in a 12.1Mp CMOS sensor, a rear-mounted 3in screen and the ability to capture 720p video.
A possible launch date or price hasn’t been revealed, yet.
