Over half of HTC’s smartphones will ship running Google’s Android platform next year, it’s emerged.

HTC was, of course, the first handset manufacturer to launch a mobile phone running on Android – the T-Mobile G1. However, this latest revelation should be taken with a pinch of salt because HTC has already openly pledged its allegiance to the Windows Mobile platform.
