Avenir Telecom has terminated its distribution relationship with UK operator Vodafone, ending four months of sabre rattling that was due to end up with former Avenir employees in court today.

Vodafone announced it would be cutting ties with the reseller back February, at which time Avenir got an injunction to prevent two former employees - Tanny Price and Toby Wickenden - from going to work for Vodafone's reselling unit Yes Telecom.

Avenir is an IT reseller specialising in telecoms, and the loss of Vodafone as a provider prompted some staff cuts last month. But it was the employment of Ms Price as head of distribution at Yes that got them really annoyed. In February, the company successfully got a court injunction to prevent Ms Price taking on the role, along with former sales chief at Avenir Toby Wickenden, as reported by Mobile Today.

Now Ms Tanny has stepped down from Vodafone, apparently to spend more time with her family, which is nice, and "pursue other opportunities", which is inevitable. Toby's future is apparently still under consideration.

In a short statement Avenir said that the matter had been "satisfactorily concluded", and that they would continue to work with Vodafone on various projects, but neither company is prepared to be drawn further on the details. ®
