Seeing a hypodermic sticking out of someone isn’t a sight most people relish. So quirky peripherals retailer Brando has made a larger-than-normal syringe and wants you to jab it into your USB port.

Brando's hypodermic Flash drive

The USB Syringe Flash Drive is exactly as it sounds and, although it doesn’t have a sharp needle lurking at one end, the plunger separates from the main body to reveal a USB port.

Measuring roughly 95 x 25 x 18mm, the ‘medical’ gizmo works over USB 2.0 and is has an 8ml 8GB capacity. The whole unit is compatible with Windows XP, Vista, Mac OS and Linux.

We can't guarantee it'll make your PC feel better

As a nice treat the plastic body allows you to see right through to the syringe’s circuit board.

Brando’s USB Syringe Flash Drive is available now online for $30 (£20/€22). Doctor’s note not required... ®
