Amazon leaks 12Mp Samsung camera
But then pulls the page
Amazon has mistakenly leaked the details of an upcoming Samsung compact camera that mixes masses of megapixels with analogue gauges.
Samsung's TL320: spied on Amazon
The 12Mp camera appeared on the web retail giant’s US site, several online sources say, but the details have since been taken down. However, the now defunct page reportedly revealed that the Samsung snapper’s called the TL320.
Amazon’s seemingly accidental posting informed the world that Samsung’s opted for car-style gauges on its upcoming camera. This sees the use of small dials to inform the user when their memory card’s about to burst with pictures or – conversely – if the camera’s battery power is set to plummet.
Gauge battery and memory stats, the old fashioned way
It’s worth noting that this isn’t an entirely new design though, as Samsung’s existing T9 also has similar analogue gauges.
Images can be viewed on the TL320’s 3in OLED display and the camera’s equipped with a 5x optical zoom and wide-angle lens.
A launch date is still unknown
But what about the price? Well, prior to deleting the page, Amazon reportedly said the Samsung TL320 would cost $330 (£231/€261). A shipping date wasn’t mentioned. ®
