Over here, we get the T-Mobile G1 as our first phone based on Google's Android platform. Down Under, they get the BlackBerry-like Kogan Agora.

Kogan Agora

Kogan's Agora: no Wi-Fi and camera-less

Well, next year they will - the Agora's not due to go on sale until 2009, the company now admits. Last month, it claimed its AU$199 ($128/£87/€101) handset would go be ready to buy on 15 December, News.com.au reports.

The consumer electronics company has begun taking orders for the phone - which has since gone up to AU$299 - but punters are being told they won't get their hands on the device until the end of January 2009.

Kogan Agora Pro

But the Agora Pro has them

When they do, they should receive a tri-band 3G/quadband GSM/GPRS/Edge handset with integrated Qwerty microkeyboard, 2.5in, 320 x 240 touchscreen, Bluetooth 2.0 and a Micro SD card slot for storage expansion.

A $399 Agora Pro will also be offered - it adds Wi-Fi and GPS to the mix. It also has a two-megapixel camera - the regular Agora has no snapper.

Available for order online, the Agora and Agora Pro can be delivered internationally, Kogan said. Non need to stick with the G1 then...
