If you’re an up-and-coming Slash or Dave Murray, practising your riffs on the Wii with a Rage Wireless Guitar may not longer be the best option, because it could leave you with a nasty burn.

57,000 Rage Wireless Guitar's have been recalled

The guitar’s manufacturer, Performance Designed Products (PDP), has voluntarily recalled 57,000 units because a circuit board defect can cause the accessory’s AA batteries to leak if they’re installed incorrectly.

This can result in a risk of chemical burns, and PDP admitted that one customer has already been injured by a faulty guitar. PDP stressed that owners should stop using the guitar immediately and return it to the place of purchase for a refund.

All of the guitars were manufactured in China and sold in the US, at various locations, between June and September this year. It's aimed at games like Rock Star and Guitar Hero.
