Toshiba has launched its latest addition to its Satellite Pro laptop series: the fully-featured S300.

Toshiba's Satellite Pro S300 range contains four models

The S300 comes in four flavours, with the cheapest model sporting a 2GHz Intel Pentium Dual Core T3200 processor, and the most expensive including a 2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo P8400 processor. Up to 3MB of L2 cache is available, although the cheapest model only has 1MB, connected up to either 2GB or 3GB of 800MHz DDR 2 memory.

Toshiba’s equipped the S300 with a frontside bus of up to 1066MHz and Intel’s GM45 chipset.

Content is displayed on a 15.4in, 1280 x 800 screen, and graphics are handled, on all S300 models, by Intel’s Mobile GMA 4500MHD graphics core integrated into the chipset.

None of S300 models come with an SSD, which is a little disappointing, but users will get an HDD capacity of anywhere between 120GB and 250GB. A DVD super multi drive’s also been slotted into the S300’s side.

All four machines are set-up for Wi-Fi, but only two models support HSDPA 3G connections, of up to 7.2Mb/s. Bluetooth connectivity is also included on all but the cheapest model. Ethernet ports also feature on all four.

Inside the lid you’ll find a 1.3-megapixel camera, and a fingerprint reader’s also present to keep official documents away from prying eyes.

Toshiba’s Satellite Pro S300 is available now, with prices starting at £439 ($717/€557).
