Motorola preps 'great' 8Mp cameraphone?
Handset set to rival the C905

Sony Ericsson only recently unveiled its eight-megapixel Cyber-shot C905 phone, but speculation is rife that Motorola’s set to steal its rival's thunder by releasing its own 8Mp handset.
Sony Ericsson's C905: 8Mp camera could be matched by Motorola
According to numerous online sources, Motorola’s super-snapper handset has been codenamed 'Alexander'. SE’s C905 phone, which technically has an 8.1-megapixel snapper on board, is set for release during Q4, while it’s rumoured that Alexander will come a-conquering sometime in October.
It's reasonable to assume that the Alexander may sport a Kodak developed eight-megapixel lens, because Motorola recently unveiled the Motozine ZN5, with a Kodak five-megapixel camera.
It’s also thought the Motorola cameraphone will be teamed-up with GPS support and, of course, the now obligatory touchscreen.
But if Motorola really wants to rival the C905, then it’ll have to ensure Alexander matches SE’s phone in every aspect. For example, the C905 slider phone sports face-detection technology and image stabilisation, alongside some impressive connectivity features, including quad-band GSM/GPRS/Edge and HSDPA 3G.
