Labour deputy leader Harriet Harman's blog defected to the Conservative Party for several hours yesterday, after it fell victim to a hacker.

A fake blog post on the site read: "To friends, foes and fans, below is a copy of the resignation letter that landed on Gordon's desk this morning." The entry linked to a spoof Harriet Harman blog.

In another hacked post on her blog, Harman, who is the MP for Camberwell and Peckham, called for Londoners to back Boris Johnson's bid to become the new Mayor of London.

Westminster gossip blog Guido Fawkes first spotted the cunning web hackery yesterday. Guido initially thought the website had been cleverly faked to look like the real thing.

Both harrietharman.org and blog.harrietharman.org are currently down, presumably while Harman and her minions wrest control back from the forces of darkness.

Harman was not immediately available for comment. ®
