An unnamed New York businessman has paid $1.5m for a silent, 15 minute black-and-white film of Marilyn Monroe administering oral pleasure - allegedly to John F Kennedy.

According to Reuters, the deal between the Manhattan buyer and the son of a dead FBI informant who owned the original copy was brokered by memorabilia collector Keya Morgan, who insisted: "The gentleman who bought it said out of respect for Marilyn he's not going to make a joke of it and put it on the internet and try to exploit her. That's not his intention and I would never get my name involved if that were to happen."

The film apparently shows a clothed Monroe giving it some stick, although the object of her affection's head is out of the frame throughout. FBI director J Edgar Hoover went to some considerable lengths to prove he was JFK, allegedly even rounding up strumpets said to have knowledge of the President's todger in an attempt to identify the featured spam javelin.

While the celebrity grumble flick is now safely under wraps, Morgan said a copy "remains classified in the FBI files". An FBI spokesman declined to comment. ®
