Ringin' in the old days
Update for the old classic retro phone

If you long for the…ahem… ‘good’ old days of people listening to the wireless and times when telephones were luxury items, then you’re bound to have a soft spot for the retro wired telephone, that’s actually wireless.
The Grand Cordless Phone has the looks of a traditional telephone...
Yes, it’s a strange concept. But, the Grand Cordless Phone has all the styling of an early telephone, but with all the convenience of a 21st century communications device. This means the cable connection between handset and base has been ripped out and replaced with a 900MHz analogue system.
...but all the features of a modern one
There’s no rotary dial to speak of because you punch the numbers into a keypad secreted on the handset’s underside, which also incorporates a three-line display. One disadvantage of cutting the cord is that the handset can be misplaced, but the rotary dial has a pager button in its place for just such an incident.
Users also benefit from the ability to store up to 10 names and numbers, caller ID and a redial button. You can choose between a pink, red or black telephone.
The Grand Cordless Phone is available online from US retailer Pottery Barn now for $130 (£65/€85).
