Carphone Warehouse has leaked the shipping date for the latest addition to the mobile phone poser set, Porsche Design's aluminium-clad P’9521.

The retailer claims the tri-band GSM phone with GPRS and Edge will be available in Novembner. It hasn’t yet given any contract details or prices for the handset, which was first announced by Porsche Design back in June.

It's no size zero though

The phone's inner 2.2in OLED display has a 320 x 240 (QVGA) resolution, while the 1.15in outer OLED screen has a lower, 128 x 96 resolution. Both displays have a "dark mineral glass" cover, which could be used either to stare at your own reflection or for viewing pictures taken on the 3.2-megapixel camera.

A good design from some angles

The phone stores image files, MPEG 4 videos and various audio files on its integrated 32MB memory, but has a Micro SD card slot for cards of up to 4GB built in so you can capture those glamorous party moments. It also has Bluetooth 1.2 and connects over USB 1.1 - neither the speediest forms of these standards, a fact at odds with the handset's sportscar branding.

Any Porsche handset owner is bound to have loads of friends, aren’t they? So, you’ll be glad to know it stores details of up to 1000 hangers-on and keeps going for 3.5 hours, or stands by awaiting orders for ten days.

Don’t forget it’s made of aluminium and glass, so don’t throw it at your assistant’s head...
