SanDisk's new Sansa Clip may lack the iPod Shuffle's cool metal casing, but this diminutive digital music player does pack an OLED screen, a mic and an FM radio, all missing from the Apple product.

The Clip will come with a choice of 1GB or 2GB song storage, and in a variety of colours: black, pink, red and blue. The player supports MP3, Audible, WMA and WMA DRM music formats, and will keep pumping them out for up to 15 hours on a single charge of its rechargeable battery, SanDisk claimed.

Due to go on sale in the US and Europe during September, the Clip will cost $40 (£20/€29) for the 1GB model and $60 (£30/€44) for the 2GB unit.
